STRIDE (Students Together Reaching for Individual Development and Education) is a retention program and network of all students of color at Davidson College. The program aims to bolster retention, graduation, and satisfaction rates for students of color, as well as provide them with social and academic support. This year, Dr. Domingue enlisted an outside researcher to conduct a survey of current STRIDE students. Through the survey, we were able to gain a fuller understanding of its strengths and weakness through student perspectives. I address three main concerns that STRIDE students bring up in survey results while reemphasizing the importance of the community having a voice in design changes to the program.
