As a part of Pete Buttegieg’s campaign platform, he has discussed the need to reform the Supreme Court. In this project, we have devised four possible plans to reform the current court system. Each plan takes into account several criteria, and the overall likelihood of the reform passing through Congress. The final recommendation is for Buttegieg to run on a platform in which he creates a 5-5-5 Program with a Code of Ethics. The 5-5-5 program is a court system divided into five Republican Justices, five Democratic Justices, and five Justices confirmed by unanimous decision of the other ten Justices. Meanwhile in the code of ethics, Justices are bound by the Code of Conduct, a list of ethical practices established by the Judicial Conference of the United States to promote integrity and impartiality in the federal Judiciary.
